Master Gardeners

Putnam County Master Gardeners (PCMG) is a volunteer organization that is designed to serve the public with quality horticulture information through educational programs, outreach, and demonstrations.

PCMG is a group of devoted volunteers who work under the direction of the University of Tennessee and their local UT Extension Office to develop horticulture programs for the community.

Locally, we take care of landscapes around the community, support horticulture education in our schools, present a display at the fair each year, and hold an annual plant sale.  Anyone can be a Master Gardener, we offer 40 hours of classes beginning in January, as well as different programs throughout the year.
